I’ve always been fascinated with the glass blowing techniques from the California Gold Rush period. This fascination has driven me to fusing and creating stained glass panels today. I create my glass art pieces using a kiln as well as creating stained glass and leaded panels. I fuse glass sculptures, functional pieces and wall art using a kiln with COE 90 glass. I also create stained glass panels using the Tiffany method: the glass is cut by hand, wrapped in copper foil and then soldered together. My fascination with creating glass art began just 3 years ago. I took a fusing/stained glass workshop “Design with Fire”, a glass studio in Sacramento California. For many years, while raising my children and tending to a career as a Mechanical Design Engineer, my passion for art and glass was put on the back burner. In 2021, I started learning to fuse glass in a kiln and my love for glass received a new spark. Since then, I have continued to refine my skills and techniques and expand my creativity.
