I was introduced to ceramic arts as an undergraduate at San Jose State College where I earned a BS in Graphic Design. I had a long career in the two-dimensional world of advertising. In my retirement, I moved to Murphys, and now work in the three-dimensional realm of clay. I primarily create functional pottery, and now have ventured into sculptural ceramics as well. I love the down-to-earth feel of the clay, and the way it responds to the touch. I like to explore new surface textures as well as experimenting with various glazes and finishes for my work.
