Carrying a small, customized watercolor kit, Thea paints on location, allowing her to connect with the land in a way that feels both personal and immediate. Living near Murphys, California, on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada, Thea finds inspiration in the varied surroundings—wildflowers, trees, and vistas that change with the seasons. Her work often reflects the quiet beauty of the world around her, capturing small but significant details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Over the years, Thea has shared her art in solo exhibitions, participated in local art events, and taught workshops to help others experience the joy of painting outdoors.
