I create paintings for the earth and all of its magnificent manifestations, which includes: landscapes, still life, animals, architecture and figures. Having first started out in watercolor media after my B.A. in Fine Arts, CA State University of San Francisco, I took a big break upon entering the teaching/counseling field. Now retired, I am back! I am painting again, with an emphasis in watercolor as my favorite medium, although acrylic and oil sometimes call me, too. My style is realism, with expressions of boldness and looseness.

We live such fast-paced and changing lives, so for me it is a source of refreshment and touching spirit when I slow down and exist in the moment. Whether I am in the beautiful foothills, where I live in CA or the equally beautiful coast here, it is when I become still that I can really see and feel what is present. I seek to capture this stillness in feeling, and yet with a dynamic spirit in my paintings. Nature is one of the greatest catalysts for me, but whatever I choose to focus on brings this opening to great beauty. I hope you find in my paintings what I strive to capture - enjoyment and deep appreciation. I currently have membership in:
