Artist Gallery
I seized the opportunity to take up art after retiring from teaching sixth grade several years ago. I started in watercolor, but branched into work in most all media. My favorite now is oil. My husband Larry and I created the art center Town Hall Arts in Copperopolis where I have enjoyed classes by many exceptional foothill artists over the last 12 years. From pastels to oils, I am always eager to learn something new. I also teach beginning art in all media and am the featured artist at Galerie Copper at Copper Valley Town Square. I have received numerous top awards in shows throughout Northern California, including a Best of Show at the 2019 Motherlode Art Association Show. I have judged several art shows, most recently the 2021 and 2022 Amador County Fair. My work has been published in several books, covers of art show programs and TV guides, and local newspapers.
